WILLIAM ‘JOE’ SEELY

A private family service will be held for William “Joe” Seely, a 27-year resident of Novato who died unexpectedly Tuesday, June 9, 1987, at Marin General Hospital. He was 76.

He was born in Columbus, Ohio. He was owner of Golden Gate Magazine Co. in San Francisco. It later became a division of ARA Services.

He retired in 1983.

He belonged to the Shriners in San Francisco and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in San Pedro. He also belonged to the Press Club in San Francisco and the World Trade Club and the United Ostomy Association, Golden Gate Chapter.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby F. Seely of Novato; two sons, William Joseph Seely Jr. of Sparks, Nev., and Alan L. Seely of Los Altos Hills; two sisters, Bertha Myers of Columbus and Virginia Marsino of San Pedro.
