Have a Seeley Research Question?

Send us your query using the form below, or you can email us directly. We look forward to assisting you with your genealogical journey.

Query Guidelines

Send us your query using the form below.

Please follow a few guidelines when submitting your query.

  • Be specific and detailed: Give us as much information as you have about the person or family in question, especially dates and locations.
  • Describe what resources have you already consulted. SGS Publications, the census, cemetery records, Ancestry.com, etc.
  • What exactly do you want to know? Parent’s names and details, information on siblings, information on a family marrying into the Seeley family, etc.

Queries are assigned a query number by the Query Editor and are then sent to our Chief Genealogist. In addition to receiving a personal response, each query and its results are summarized and published in the newsletter and in the searchable query archive on this website.

(We're a small all volunteer organization, so have patience in awaiting your response.)

After your query is published, please keep us informed about any information you receive or any further progress you make on your own. Other members may also be interested or related to your line. One more name, date or place may be the key to connecting your line to another. Also make sure we have your current email and normal address – sometimes we get information several months after publication.

File(s) to Upload?
Important: If uploading more than one file by drag and drop or by clicking on the "Upload a file" link, select all files at once. If you upload one file at at time it will replace the file before it rather than add the new file. It's weird, I know.
Genealogy is an ongoing journey, full of unexpected discoveries. The information here reflects our best knowledge at the moment, but it may have gaps or the occasional error. And, it will change as we learn more.
