BELOIT – The funeral for Walter E. Seely, 91, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the McDonald Funeral Funeral Home, Beloit, Tom Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Greenmound Cemetery, Asherville.
Mr. Seely died Tuesday at his home in Beloit. He was born Aug. 26, 1889, on a farm southeast of Beloit. He farmed until 1950 when he moved to Asherville. He owned and operated the general store there until 1955. He then served as a custodian at the Asherville grade school until 1969, when he moved to Beloit. His wife, Lottie, died last April.
Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Dorothy Birch, Greenfield, Mo., and Mrs. Virginia Bohnenblust, Laramie, Wyo.; and one nephew, Harold Seely, Asherville.
The family suggests memorials to the Greenmound Church of Christ.
