MONTICELLO — Vina M. Seely, 89, of Monticello, died at 12:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at the Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center.
She was born August 29, 1919, in Shawneetown, Ill., to the late F. F. and Mabel Womack Tucker.
She had lived in the Monticello community since 1964, coming from Cudahy, Wis., where she had lived since 1940. She graduated in 1936 from Shawneetown High School in Illinois.
On Aug. 9, 1938, in Shawneetown, she married James Seely. He died Oct. 25, 1990.
Mrs. Seely was a homemaker, and was a member of the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello.
Surviving are two daughters, Joan Chapman (husband: Ron) of Lafayette and Judy Kopshinsky (husband: Ted) of Monticello; and two sons, William “Bill” Seely (wife: Mary) of Monticello and James Seely (wife: Linda) of Phoenix, Ariz.
Visitation 3-7 p.m. Thursday at the Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, Monticello, with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. Services 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of The Lakes Catholic Church, Monticello.
