Vera Margaret Seeley

Vera M. Seeley, 94, Langdon, died Friday, Dec. 31, 1993, in Cavalier County Memorial Hospital, Langdon.

Vera Margaret Robertson was born Sept. 27, 1899, near Langdon, the daughter of John and Ada (Jennings) Robertson. She graduated in 1917 from Hannah (N.D.) High School and taught school at Wales, N.D., and in Harvey Center Township. Cavalier County, N.D. She married John R. Seeley Dec. 17, 1919, in Crookston. They lived in Saskatchewan for a year and farmed in Harvey Center Township until 1953.

She is survived by sons, Ralph, Langdon, and Robert, Memphis, Tenn.; daughter, Edna (Mrs. Kenneth) Ridley, Calvin, N.D.; six grandchildren: eight great-grandchildren; and brothers, Aldrich H., Jackson Mich., and Cleveland J., Livingston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Aldrich “Bud”; sister, Gertrude Bothwell: brothers, Howard J. and Edwin J.; and one great-great-grandson.

Services: 2 p.m. Monday in First Presbyterian Church, Langdon.

Visitation: 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday. with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service, in Brooks Funeral Home, Langdon, and one hour before services in church.
