m. 22 Nov 1764, Fairfield, (now Easton, CT), Sarah Silliman (b 25 Mar 1748; d 8 Mar 1835, Gaylordsville, CT).  Daughter of Daniel and Sarah Burr Silliman.  As a widow, Sarah Silliman Seeley m 16 Jan 1788, as her 2nd husband, Ephraim Sterling.

Resided in North Stratford (now Trumbull) and Weston, CT, in an area called Tashua.

Samuel was a private in Company of Capt. Daniel Benedict, Ninth Regiment. of CT.  In 1777, he rushed to the Danbury Alarm and fought with some retreating British and was killed.
