Mrs. Ruby Seeley, Retired Nurse, 91
Mrs. Ruby T. Seeley, 91, a retired registered nurse, died Thursday at the Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Va.
The former Ruby Tulley, she was born in Cortland County, N.Y., but lived most of her life in Washington. She was graduated from the old Central High School in 1895.
She married Jesse W. Seeley in Buffalo, N.Y., in 1896. Their one son, Harold J., a longtime resident of Takoma Park, died in 1953.
In 1912 she graduated in nursing from the Women’s Christian Association Hospital in Jamestown, N.Y. She was a private duty registered nurse for more than 40 years in New York State and in the District.
She was a member of the Takoma Park Presbyterian Church, the Takoma Park Women’s Club, the Chautauqua, N.Y., Women’s Club and the Order of the Eastern Star.
