Robert Bruce Seeley, 68, of Burlington, died at 7:40 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born July 5, 1939, in Chicago, he was the son of Clarence H. and Florence Carlson Seeley.
Mr. Seeley was an English teacher. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed reading, writing poetry and playing guitar for the residents of Autumn Heights. He was affiliated with the Protestant Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
No formal visitation is planned.
The funeral for Mr. Seeley will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk with the Rev. Dr. Frank Beaty officiating. Burial will be in Keokuk National Cemetery.
