MARSHALLBERG, NC -Richard Reid Seely, 75, of Marshallberg, NC died Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at Cateret General Hospital. Mr. Seely retired from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer after 22 years of service.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Marshallberg Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Whitby and the Rev. Ellis Bedsworth officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Through the Woods Cemetery.
Survivors: wife, Marguerite L. Seely daughter, Mary Leslie Seely of Charlotte son, Lewis Reid Seely and wife, Tonya of Otway sisters, Mary Lou S. Payne and Sally S. Miller, both of Newfield, New York brother, John W. Seely of Glendale, Arizona grandchildren, Brittany Bowen, Brandon Bowen, Brooke Seely and Breanna Seely several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the church Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
