Preston Seeley

(1857- 1940)

Preston Seeley, life-time resident of Greenwood township, Crawford County, died at 12:30 o’clock this morning, May 20, 1940, at home, following a short illness.

He was a son of Elliott and Matilda Anderson Seeley and was born Feb. 3, 1857. He married May Lubold on Sept. 21, 1883.

He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife and the following sons and daughters, Harry E. of Meadville, Mrs. J.L. Smith of Geneva, Mrs. E.W. Chapin of Batavia, N.Y., Clem of Sharon, Mrs. Frank E. Williams and Harold Seely of Conneaut Lake; 4 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one brother, Harrington Seeley of Atlantic.

Funeral services will be held the Brick Church, Greenwood township on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by Rev. Earl Chapin of Batavia, N.Y. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.
