Pansy Seeley

(1902- 1974)

SUNSET – Mrs. Pansy Barker Seeley, 71, of 182 W. 1175 N., died Friday at the McKay Dee Hospital.

She was born June 21, 1902, in Willard, a daughter of J. Orson and Annie Maria Johnson Barker.

On Oct. 19, 1921, she married A. Elwyn Seeley in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He died Jan. 16, 1966.

Mrs. Seeley was the former owner of Seeley’s Snack Bar in Brigham City where she lived for a number of years.

She was a member of the LDS Sunset 6th Ward. While in Brigham City she was a Sunday School teacher, ward organist, a counselor in the Primary presidency and active in Relief Society.

Mrs. Seeley was a member of the Eagles auxiliary Lodge No. 2919 in Brigham City.

Surviving are three sons and four daughters, Dwayne (Bud) Seeley of Sacramento, Calif.; Dr. J. Rodman Seeley of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Michael Seeley of Ogden; Mrs. John G. (Ardus) Hazen of Ogden; Adela Beal and Sharyn Seeley, both of Sunset, and Mrs. Lamar (Jacki) Kirby of North Ogden; 16 grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters, W.L. Barker, C.R. Barker, Mrs. Serell (Rose) Nelson, all of Brigham City, and Mrs. W.F. (Pearl) Harpster of Whittier, Calif.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 12 noon at the Olsen Funeral Chapel, 176 N. Main in Brigham City, with Bishop Gary Kidman of the Sunset 6th Ward officiating.

Friends may call at the Ogden Myers Mortuary Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday at the Olsen Funeral Chapel prior to services. Burial in the Brigham City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Cancer Society.
