Mary Ann Seely

Seely Mary Ann (Brackney) was one of five children born to Washington and Lucinda Brackney. Her birthday was April 1, 1870. The parents and one brother, Mahue, having preceded her in death, one brother, Jack, and two sisters, Mrs. Ira Couts of Marion, Ind., and Mrs. Albert Johnson of Albion surviving. In 1899 she was married to Charles Seely. One son died as an infant; one son, Ellsworth, and one daughter, Mrs. Clarence Rauh; and 2 grandchildren, Beverly Anna and Doyle Leroy, remain. She died June 17, 1943, being past 73 years of age. Her whole life was spent near Albion. As a young woman she taught school for about 10 years. Services at the home June 19. Burial, Rose Hill Cemetery.
