Lyman J. Seeley

LYMAN J. SEELEY, a veteran of the Civil War, passed away Tuesday evening, April 16. The funeral was held at the Second Congregational Church, Rev. Edwin Wheelock officiating, assisted by Rev. H.C. Howard. The funeral was in charge of the Grand Army of the Republic, Post gates, who attended in a body. The four comrades who acted as bearers were Sidney French, Gilbert Davis, Julius Safford, of this place and George Whitney of Johnson. Other comrades from out of town were Darius Holmes, Vernon Patch, and Jason French from Johnson. Mr. Seeley was 80 years of age and a lifelong resident of Cambridge. He was a son of Samuel and Charlotte Seeley, who were among the first settlers of Cambridge.
