Funeral service for Linda Kay Embry Seeley, 60, of Decatur will be Saturday, August 13, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Thomas Larkin officiating. The family will receive friends this evening from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Seeley, who died Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at Decatur General Hospital, was born April 9, 1951. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Richard Embry and Sarah Mildred Hilliard Embry; three brothers, Edward, Glenn and Danny Embry. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Many people knew her from the years she worked at Wal-Mart Photo Lab. She retired after 15 years of service.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas A. Seeley; two daughters, Lynn Garner (Roger) and Misty Seeley; three sisters, Peggy, Dianne and Janice; and two grandchildren, Austin and Matthew Garner.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Seeley, Richard McGeehee, Richard McGeehee Jr., Greg Thompson, Joe Thompson and Brian Seeley.
The family would like to express their special thanks to the staff of CCI Center of Decatur, Decatur General Hospital, and Hospice of the Valley.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Valley.
