HAMPTON – Larry J. Seely, 49, died Saturday, January 5, 2013. A native and lifelong resident of Hampton, he served in the US Navy and as a chef in many area restaurants.
Preceded in death by his parents, Sharon and Luther Seely and his grandmother, “Big” Grandma; survivors include his children, Thomas Wayne Hooks, Nikki Seely and Chelsea McKenna; his brothers, Brian Seely, Randy Seely and Roger Gunter; his grandson, Sean Larry Hooks; the mother of his children, Missy Seely; a niece and nephew, Brittany and Travis Seely; and several aunts and uncles.
A memorial service with Navy honors will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 12, 2013 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to Randy Seely to help offset funeral expenses.
