John Seeley

John Seeley, 55, formerly of St. Mary’s Street in Avoca died Friday in Dushore. Born in West Avoca, he was a son of the late Harold and Mary (Roug) Seeley.

He attended St. Mary’s School and graduated from Avoca High School.

He was a former member of Saints Peter & Paul Church on Main Street in Avoca.

He was employed as a molder at several local foundries.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph “Joey” Seeley in 1997.

Surviving are his sister, Ann Marie Dugan, Wallingford, Conn.; brother, Stanley, Inkerman; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday from the Kniffen-O’Malley Funeral Home Inc., 728 Main St., Avoca, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Saints Peter & Paul Church.

Interment will be in the parish cemetery in Avoca. The Reverend Mark Bochinski will officiate.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
