John Raymond Seely, 66, of Cameron Park died Feb. 21 at his home in Cameron Park.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., he had lived in El Dorado County since 1982. He was a member of Elks Lodge No. 1712, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army.
Mr. Seely was the husband of Vincie Seely of Cameron Park, the father of Susan Van Landing of Pittsburg, Pamela Seely of Sacramento, Jack Seely of Glendale, N.Y., and Frank Seely of Wantagh, N.Y., and the brother of Edgar Seely of Huntsville, Alaska, and Robert Seely of Bohemia, N.Y. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
A Biblical Wake service was held Monday evening at Miller Funeral Home in Folsom. A Mass of Christian Burial was held yesterday morning at St. John’s Catholic Church in Folsom, and entombment was in Calvary Cemetery, Sacramento.
Family members request that contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society or to Snowline Hospice of El Dorado County.
