John Ray Seeley of Wilmington, NC, died Sunday at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Portland, Maine, on July 10, 1940, the son of the late Melvin and Edith Seeley.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Carrie Seeley; three children, Janie Seeley Hook and husband Terry of Cabin John, MD, John Ray Seeley, Jr. and Haywood Reaid Seeley, both of Wilmington; three grandchildren, James Kelly of Leland, NC, Jeremy Hook and Shane Hook, both of Cabin John, MD; two sisters, Florence Moore and Carol Seeley, both of California; and his best friend, Thomas Holden.
A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, September 8, 2003, in Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel by his sister in law, Rev. BenNita Herring.
Memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
