Word came of the death of James Seeley, father of Mrs. Ray Forbes. He was taken ill and hospitalized at the Marcus Snyder Memorial hospital in Spirit Lake and later was flown to his doctor in Topeka, Kan., where he died. He had been ill and had an operation when he lived here with his daughter. He moved here after the death of his wife and moved to Oakland with his daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Forbes and Scottie, two years ago. Mr. Seeley visited here in May with his daughter and grandson and seemed well at that time.
