James M. Seeley
James M. Seeley, 76, of 161 Boutelle street, died late last night in Burbank hospital. A native of St. John, N.B., he was a resident here more than 50 years. He was a son of the late Peter and Mary (Brown) Seeley. He worked as a freight conductor for the N.Y., N.H. & H railroad until his retirement 10 years ago and was a member of the Railway conductors’ organization and of the Holy Name society of St. Bernard’s parish.
Surviving are two sons, Walter B. of Leominster, and Edward, of this city; five daughters, Miss Esther M. Seeley and Mrs. Henry Casey, of this city; Mrs. Sidney Shaddick of Watertown; Mrs. Roy A. Turcotte, of New haven, and Mrs. Harold Taylor of Erving, Mass; 18 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Benning, of Boston, and two brothers, Charles and William Seeley, of Quincy.
The funeral will be held from his home Thursday morning with a solemn high mass of requiem in St. Bernard’s church at 10 o’clock. Burial will be in St. Bernard’s cemetery.
