James Seeley, age 68, passed away at his home with family at his side on Thursday, October 31, 2013. Jim was born at home in Cadillac, MI, on July 30, 1945, the son of the late Raymond and Sarah (Baldwin) Seeley. On April 12, 1969, he married the love of his life Carole (Finkbeiner) Seeley, who survives. Jim was passionate about life, he lived for his family, worked hard every day, and was dedicated to those he called friends. He was employed by SCI/Steelcon for over 40 years. His dedication to the job eventually earned him a position as Vice President of Operations. When not working or spending time with family, he could be found on the golf course playing his favorite game. Above all, he loved his family and leaves them with happy memories, and a strong legacy. Jim is also survived by his two children, Scott (Traci) Seeley and Jennifer (Michael) Garyet; grandchildren, Clare and Chloe Seeley and Simon Garyet; two sisters, Jane (Herb) Salisbury and Judy (Ron) Greenman; nieces, nephews, and great friends. He was also preceded in passing by a sister, Donna (Jim) Foster. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 4, 2013, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM. A service to celebrate his life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, beginning at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Jim Dyke officiating. Private interment will be held. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of S.W. Michigan, c/o the funeral home.
