Helen I. Seeley, 86, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at home. She was predeceased by her husband, George; daughter, Carolyn; grandchildren, Donald, Sandy and Brent (Doc). She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Simpson-Faria, Clay, Jack O. and Dorrie White, Greene, George and Debbie Seeley German, Bonnie Seeley, Oxford, Ronnie and Sharon Seeley, Willet; 27 Grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Bernard Bosket, Pittsburgh, PA; her loyal canine companion, Kiita; several close friends, nieces and nephews. Helen enjoyed showing her horses, training her dogs, fishing and gardening. Her strength and spunk will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral and committal services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Root Funeral Home, 23 N. Chenango Street, Greene, NY 13778. Pastor Doug Harding of Assembly of God Church, Greene, will officiate. Burial will be in Port Crane Cemetery. Friends of the family may call Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Root Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chenango County.
