Gordon L. “Tony” Seeley

(1916- 2000)

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2000, in Cornelius United Methodist Church for Gordon L. “Tony” Seeley, who died Feb. 28 at age 83.

Mr. Seeley was born March 20, 1916, in Jefferson City, Iowa, and raised in North Platte, Neb. He was a butcher in North Platte and Sidney, Neb., before he moved to Cornelius in 1946, where he was a custodian and maintenance worker for Washington County for 10 years before his retirement in 1981. He was a member and former trustee of the church. In 1941, he married Dorothy Haddock; she died in 1965. He married Jean Mundorff in 1966.

Survivors include his wife; daughter, Jane; stepdaughter, Julie Kendall; stepson, Randy Punley; brother, Clarence “Ben”; and a grandchild.

Private interment will be in Cornelius Methodist Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to the endowment fund of the church. Arrangements are by Fuiten, Rose & Hoyt Mortuary.
