Gladys Seeley
On April 17th the angels came to take Gladys Seeley home. She was born on October 11, 1922 in Texola, OK to Charles and Bessie Smith, whom she precedes in death along with her brother, Don Smith and sister, Bonnie Havens. Gladys had three children, son, Philip McHone and his children, Lindsey, Holly, Aaron and Andrew McHone; son, Dennis McHone and his children, Danelle and Dennis McHone; daughter, Marsha Forrister and her children, Crystal Forrister and Bryan, and Michelle Forrister; sister, Pat Murphy and her sons, Tim and Corinna Murphy, Michael and Milady Murphy and niece, Darlene Facett. Gladys came to Bakersfield on April 1st 1935 where she resided until 1966. She then moved to Palm Springs, CA, where she worked as an in-home care nurse. She returned to Bakersfield in 2002 and spent the rest of her days at Pleasant Care Hospital. The Family requests that anyone who was touched by Gladys join them at Mish Funeral Home-Oildale on Saturday, April 22, from 12 p.m.-5 p.m. for a visitation and remembrance of her life.
