Gertrude M. Seeley May 29, 1917 – August 21, 2010 SALEM – Trudy Seeley passed away on Sat., Aug. 21, 2010, after a very brief illness in Salem, Ore. Originally from International Falls, Minnesota, Trudy married William L. (Bill) Seeley in Bremerton, Wash., in 1946 and then settled in Salem. She was known for her sweet spirit, inner strength and determination, and her warm smile. Trudy enjoyed playing the organ at Grace Lutheran Church, working for the State of Oregon Bureau of Labor, playing bridge, and sewing. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Halvorson, of Tucson, Ariz.; her four grandchildren, Kristin Fraysier (Jason) of Denver, Colo., Greg Halvorson (Stephanie) of Scottsdale, Ariz., Kelli Halvorson of San Diego, Calif., Timothy Halvorson of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and her five great-grandsons. Trudy’s graveside service will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen Funeral Home.
