GEORGE SEELY

Knoxville, Nov. 8 – George Seely, aged 81 years, died at his home in Knoxville Saturday at 4:30 a.m., after a long illness. The funeral was held Monday, Rev. W.H. Stevens, Baptist minister of Westfield, officiating; burial in Riverside cemetery.

Mr. Seely is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nettie Hunt Seely, one daughter, Mrs. Janis Robertson, of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., one son Jesse R. Seely, of Knoxville, a grandson Glen Robertson, of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and a granddaughter, Geraldine Seely, of Elmira.

George Seely, of Knoxville, died November 5, after a long illness. He was born at Austinberg February 19, 1851, son of Abijah and Axa Eddy Seely. On October 18, 1871, he married Miss Nettie Hunt, of Troupsburg. To them were born three children, Jess R. Seely, of Knoxville; Mrs. Jania Robertson, of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., who survive with his widow, and Gerald H. Seely, deceased. He is also survived by a grandson, Glenn Robertson, of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., a granddaughter, Geraldine Seely, of Elmira, two great-granddaughters, Helen and June Robertson, of Poughkeepsie, three nieces, Mrs. C.G. Dearman, of Knoxville, Mrs. Susie Dengle, of Elmira, and Mrs. Lorense Williams, of Elkland. He had been a member of the F.& A. M. for the past 44 years.
