Fred T. Seeley

Fred T. Seeley, 78, of 4241 New Seneca Turnpike, Marcellus, died Friday at Community-General Hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Seeley was a native of Marcellus. He owned and operated a dairy farm 50 years. He was active in camping groups. He was a member of Amber Congregational Church and a former member of the town of Marcellus board of assessors and the town assessment review board.

Mr. Seeley was a member of Marcellus Grange and Otisco Senior Citizens.

Surviving are his wife, Marjorie Wheeler Seeley; three sons, Paul of Danby, Glen of Marcellus and John of Racine, Wisc.; a daughter, Dorothy Southard of Cato; two sisters, Ruth Bauer of Jamesville and Mary Pittman of Elmira; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Norris Funeral Home, Marcellus, the Rev. Richard Chaffee officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Contributions may be made to the Amber Congregational Church or Amber Fire Department.
