Franklin D. Seeley
Mr. Franklin D. Seeley, 71, of Sequim, passed away on Nov. 9, 2008 in Port Angeles. Franklin was born on Feb. 11, 1937 in Middletown, NY to Leo A. Seeley and Madeline Passineau.
He married Marilyn A. Liedes on Nov. 23, 1957 in Coeur D’Alene, ID.
Franklin served in the US Navy from 1954 to 1962. He served in the Korean War, and with the Pacific Fleet stationed in Seattle, San Diego and Long Beach, CA.
He was an Industrial Machinist who worked for many companies, including Boeing Space Center, Nicholson Manufacturing, Sunset Foundry, NW Steel Rolling Mills, JI Case Tractor Company and Robins Company, all in the Seattle area.
He then attended college after an injury and became a Chemical Dependency Counselor, which he enjoyed very much. He worked for an agency and eventually opened his own. He was also a volunteer firefighter for the city of Kent for almost 20 years. Franklin lived mostly in the Seattle area, Colville, and later Sequim.
His favorite thing was being involved in volunteer-firefighting. He also enjoyed woodworking, painting and working in his shop. He was also a member of the Colville Kiwanis.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Seeley, Sequim; sons, David (Roseann), Seattle; Michael (Sherry), Colville and three grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life was held Nov. 15 at Sequim Valley Funeral Chapel.
