Elsie M. Seeley, 77, of High Acres trailer Court, died Saturday (Sept. 4, 1999) in WCA Hospital.
She was born Oct. 16, 1921, in McKeesport, Pa., the daughter of Arthur and Agnes Johnson Gustafson. She was raised by her grandmother Sophia Gustafson.
She was a 1939 graduate of Frewsburg High School and was employed by Art Metal co. and Jamestown Plywood.
She was a member of the Thule Lodge, Super Travelers, several senior citizens organizations, and was formerly active in the Jamestown Plywood union.
She was confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church, Frewsburg, and enjoyed knitting, country music and traveling.
Surviving are several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 1922 and her father in 1987.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Peterson Funeral Home in Frewsburg, the Rev. Jeff Silvernail, pastor of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Bemus Point, will officiate. Burial will be in Fentonville Cemetery, Frewsburg.
No visitation will be observed.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
