Elmer Seeley

Elmer Seeley, 72, of 1508 19th Ave., N.W., died suddenly at his residence Monday evening.

Mr. Seeley was born in Estherville, Iowa, and came to the Hussar district in 1919.  He farmed there until 1951, when he retired to Chilliwack, B.C.  He came to Calgary three years ago.  He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Herb (Mary) Kaiser Hussar and Miss Betty Seeley, Calgary; four sons, Ted of Calgary, Irwin of Vulcan, Thomas and Robert of Arrowwood; and 15 grandchildren.  His wife, Leila Belle Seeley, died in Chilliwack in April of 1952.

Rev, W.J. Laing will conduct service from McInnis and Holloway Funeral Home on Thursday at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in the family plot at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
