COUDERSPORT – Earl B. Seeley, 94, of Coudersport, passed away Wednesday (Jan. 23, 2019) at his residence.
Earl was born on Jan. 8, 1925, in Woodhull, N.Y., the son of the late Charles and Bertha Allen Seeley. He married the former June Marie Miller on May 29, 1947, in Coudersport, and they celebrated 62 years of marriage until her passing on May 10, 2010.
Earl worked as an operator for PennDOT, retiring in 1987 after 27 years of service and was an Army veteran serving during World War II. He was a 67-year life member of the American Legion Potter Post 192 and enjoyed working, restoring cars, camping and watching bowling and baseball.
Surviving are three sons, Larry (Carol) Seeley of Minnetrista, Minn., Alan (Georgianna) Seeley of Coudersport, and Curt Seeley (John Sauls) of Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; a daughter, Carol Seeley of Coudersport; four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
In addition to his parents and wife, Earl was preceded in death by four brothers, Lester, Hugh, Leon and Reed Seeley and five sisters, Atha Lewis, Reva Perigo, Dorothy Black, Bernice Mangelson and Ella Meacham.
Family and friends are welcome to a visitation Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home, 210 North East St., Coudersport, where the funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Hank St. Amour officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Potter County Honor Guard. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery, Five Points.
