Dowling Seely: Silver Lake; 84, died Friday at a Topeka hospital after an extended illness. He was born 31 August 31, 1895 at Boscobel, son of Charles Mark and Rhoda Ann Dowling Seely. He moved with his parents from WI to Decatur County in 1906 and to Silver Lake in 1911 and lived in the Silver Lake community the rest of his life. Mr. Seely was a retired farmer. He married Cora Howell at Lawrence on August 21, 1922, she died December 15, 1976. Survivors include 2 sisters: Maye Swanson-Camano Island WA and Maude Bausch-Hoyt and a brother: Ivan C. Seely-Topeka. Service will be Monday at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Silver Lake Cemetery.
