DENNIS L. SEELEY, 53, POTLATCH CORP. WORKER

OROFINO Dennis Lee Seeley, a former Potlatch Corp. loader operator, died of cancer Tuesday at Clearwater Valley Hospital in Orofino. He was 53.

Seeley was a lifelong Clearwater County resident and worked for Potlatch Corp. in the Orofino and Headquarters, Idaho, areas for 29 years before poor health forced him to retire in September.

He was the son of Roy and Hazel Calkins Seeley, born May 5, 1938, in Orofino.

Seeley was raised in Weippe and attended schools there until 1950, when the family moved to Headquarters. He graduated from Pierce High School in 1956 and married Marjean Cochran July 16, 1961, in Kamiah.

The couple made their home in Headquarters and Orofino.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and all outdoor activities.

Survivors include his wife of Orofino; a son, Ryan Seeley of Orofino; two brothers, Gerald Seeley of Orofino and Gary Seeley of Lansing, Mich., and two sisters, Esther Chrystal of Kendrick and Colleen Ross of Lewiston.

His parents died previously.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pine Hills Funeral Chapel at Orofino with the Rev. Chet Donley of Orofino officiating.

The family suggests memorials be sent to Clearwater Hospice, 301 Cedar St., Orofino, Idaho 83544.
