Daniel Lloyd “Junkyard Dan”Seely

Daniel passed away at the age of 70 on September 1, 2017, in Wichita KS. Born on May 11, 1947 in Columbia Missouri, to Lloyd and Elizabeth Seely who preceded him in death. Along with his siblings, Stephen Seely, Sharon Ward (Joe) and Timothy Seely, he moved to Wichita in 1954. Graduated from West High and worked at Cartwright Mac and Briley’s Salvage yard. He earned VW Certification and gained the nickname of Junkyard Dan by building trikes, bikes and cars throughout his life. Married Teresa Watt in 1971, who proceeded him in death. Proud father of Jolena Alfred (Steven) who also preceded him in death, Tabitha West (Brian) and Jacob Seely (Dina). In January of 1991, married Tiasha Clay Seely and gained daughters Anne-Jenell Williams (Jared) and Melissa Elliott (Larry). He had a special relationship with nieces and nephews and many friends. Dan was adored by his 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren. Proud charter member of Brotherhood of the Third Wheel. He had a sharp wit, a ready smile, and loved to make people laugh. A memorial potluck picnic to be held Thursday, September 7th from 4-7 pm at OJ Watson Park Wichita KS.
