Charles B. Seely

Charles B. Seely, 89, passed on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at his home in Bothell, Washington.

Married in 1952, Charles is preceded in death by his Wife of 54 years, Joan E. Seely and Brother Donald Seely and is survived by his Son Steven Seely and Daughter Leann Janzen.

He was born in Oregon and later moved to Seattle Washington where he eventually became a Seattle Police Officer working in the heart of downtown and retired in 1980 after 28 years of service.

In his early years at the age of 18 he joined the U.S. Coast Guard where he served in World War II on the U.S.S. A. W. Brewster and was honorably discharged in 1946. He later joined the US Army where he served 3 years of service, honorably discharged in 1956.

He loved golfing with friends, reading books and driving to explore all the Great Northwestern mountains, lakes and oceans often taking time to visit the multiple relatives in his life. Chuck was a long time member of the Elks where he sat in his designated chair and visited with his large circle of friends regularly.

Services will be held at the Lynnwood Elks #2171 at 3pm on Saturday May 21st. Contributions in memory of Chuck may be made to The Washington Elks Therapy Program for Children.
