Charles A. Seeley

(1869- 1926)

CHARLES A. SEELEY, passed away Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock at Prophetstown. Death was due to heart trouble. Mr. Seeley had been in poor health for the past several years. Funeral arrangements have not as yet been completed, but it is probably that the services will be held at Prophetstown Thursday, with burial at that place. Mr. Seeley was born in Portland township in 1869, his parents being Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Seeley. He was united in marriage in 1900 in Chicago to Miss Pearl Reynolds, who, with one son, Cecil, are the immediate survivors, He also leaves one brother, Jay, now spending the winter in California, and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Lawton, of Morrison. Mr. Seeley was in business in Prophetstown for a number of years where he gained a large circle of friends. He and his family moved to this city, and for several years he conducted a confectionery store here, adding many acquaintances and friends. He was well liked by everyone who knew him.
