HERMANSVILLE – Carrie Marie Seely, 82, of Hermansville, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers with her family by her side. She was born on Feb. 19, 1929, in Hermansville, the daughter of the late Arther and Ethel (Ledger) Weaver. In August of 1958 she married the late George Seely in Menominee, Mich.
Carrie worked in housekeeping at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility for 17 years until her retirement. She was a member of the St. Anne’s Society beginning in the 1950’s and also a member of the IXL Museum. Carrie enjoyed puzzles, playing cards, going to bingo and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her four children, Anne Marie La Cousier, Debbie Seely, Tony Seely and Cathy (Danny) Galindo; nine grandchildren, Steve La Cousier, Cindy (Ted) Hanchek, Darla (Mike) Willa, Brad (Rachel) Girardi, Janelle (Dave) Pawling, Chelsi Peterson, Zac Peterson, Logon Galindo and Morgan Galindo; eight great-grandchildren, Sami (Kirk) Flescher, Kalee La Cousier, Shea La Cousier, Kacie Hanchek, Dyllion Hanchek, Brandon Willa, Allissa Willa and Cody Pawling, as well as nieces and nephews.
Carrie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Howard, Bill and John Weaver; and one sister, Gwen St. John.
Friends may call from 4:30 to 6 p.m. CST on Friday, Dec. 30, at St. John Neumann Church in Hermansville. A memorial service will be celebrated at 6 p.m. on Friday at church with Fr. Michael Vichich officiating. A luncheon will follow services in the church parish hall. Burial will take place in the Meyer Township Cemetery in the spring.
