Bird Seely, 79, Dies Tuesday

Bird Seely, 79, of 1305 Gilson St., formerly of Readstown, died Tuesday (Dec. 5, 1972) in a Madison hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in Richland County and was a Readstown area farmer until his retirement several years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Huetta; three sons, Raymond, 1930 Browning Rd.; Norman, 95 Barry Dr.; and Bernard, Oakdale; three daughters, Mrs. Harold Clancy, Viroqua; Miss Veronica Janeck, Oshkosh; and Mrs. Rosemary Baker, Alamagordo, N.M.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Reginald Dray, 133 Dunning St.; two stepsons, K.L. Janeck, Fargo, N.D.; and Edward Janeck, Moline, Ill.; three brothers, Gilbert, Waubesa Beach Rd.; Ray, Barberton, O.; and Lester, Ironton; two sisters, Mrs. Lem Rockhill, Baraboo; and Mrs. Roxanna Adams, Lake Delton; 30 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Readstown Church of Christ. Friends may call this afternoon and evening at the Sime Funeral Home, Readstown, and from noon until services Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Bloom City Cemetery near Readstown.
