Virginia Beach – Bessie Anderson Seeley, 97, of the 1600 block of Old Donation Pkwy., passed away December 18, 2011 in Virginia Beach.
A native of Norfolk, she was the widow of A.W. “Bud” Seeley, Jr. She was a life member of Burrows Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two daughters, Brenda S. Wilson of Va. Beach and Dorothy S. Cook and husband Robert of Greensboro, N.C., four grandchildren, Kimberley Hadick of Oregon, IL, Marlene MacDonald of Va. Beach, Holly Young of Greensboro, N.C. and Andrew S. Cook of Statesboro, Ga. and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Gladys Young and Margaret “Sissy” Anderson.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. J. Donald Harris officiating. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Bayside Chapel Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
