Mrs. Bertha Frances Seeley, a guest at the Pleasant View Convalescent Home, Point Township, died Monday night at about 9 o’clock in the home where she had been a guest for the past several years. She was 82 years of age.
She was born in Northumberland on May 17, 1884, the daughter of Harry P. and Margaret Smith, deceased.
Preceding her in death is her husband Harry L. Seeley, who died in 1958. They had been married 53 years at the time of his death. Mr. Seeley was for many years an engineer for the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad.
A lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Northumberland, the late Mrs. Seeley graduated from Northumberland High School. Before entering the convalescent home she had resided for many years at 455 Front Street, Northumberland.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the Robert Davis funeral home, Northumberland. Rev. Gilbert J. Martin, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland.
There will be no viewing.
