m. Nov 1746/7, Deborah Loring (b Nov 1728, Stratford, CT). Daughter of Nehemiah and Deborah Jones Watkins Loring. Deborah Jones Watkins Loring filed her will on 31 Mar 1775. It named daughter Deborah and granddaughter Deborah. Benjamin Seeley was not mentioned.
In 1766, Benjamin sold his share of his father’s farm which was located in Stratford. He lived from 1766 until 1771 in Stratfield Parish, now Bridgeport. Benjamin Seeley was imprisoned for assisting the Loyalists. He escaped to the British lines in NY. He arrived in New Brunswick in May 1783 and settled first at Sheffield, Sunbury Co, New Brunswick and later in Longreach. In 1787, he was a claimant to the British government for losses incurred during the Revolutionary War in the amount of £66. It is not known where or when he died.
