Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary!

Close up of semi-circle red, white, and blue cloth banners sitting on a table overlapping each other with a rolled up scroll of paper secured by a ribbon tied in a bow. "We the People" can be read on the paper.

We Are Approaching the 250th Anniversary of the Founding of the United States!

To help commerate the occasion, the SGS has embarked on identifying and highlighting stories about Seeleys of the American Revolution – patriots and loyalists alike.  On our Seeleys of the American Revolution Project webpage you can find out about the project and view our current list of revolutionary Seeleys.

We know our list is incomplete, and we’re dependent on you to help us find who we’re missing.  If  you know of a Seeley not on the list, there’s a form on the page you can use to submit information about them.

Help us celebrate this important anniversary and learn more about our collective Seeley family history!

Genealogy is an ongoing journey, full of unexpected discoveries. The information here reflects our best knowledge at the moment, but it may have gaps or the occasional error. And, it will change as we learn more.
