NUPTIAL VOWS ARE TAKEN BY COUPLE

Lorene Seely And Pfc. Gilbert Hinrichs Principals In Event

On Friday afternoon, July 27, 1945, at 2 o’clock, at the Union Creek Lutheran church, Miss Lorene Seely, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Seely, northwest of Akron, became the bride of Pfc. Gilbert Hinrichs, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Hinrichs, of Crete, Ill. Rev. David J. Roy, the pastor, officiated at the nuptial service. Acting as bridesmaid was Miss Alice Hinrichs, sister of the groom, and best man was Eldon Seely, brother of the bride.

The bride wore an aqua blue dress, with white accessories, and a white carnation corsage and a string of pearls, a gift from the groom. The bridesmaid wore a light blue dress, with white accessories, and a pink carnation corsage. The groom wore his army uniform and the best man wore a dark brown pin-stripe suit.

A reception was held at 7 o’clock at the home of the bride’s parents, with immediate relatives present. Friends of the bride who served the dinner were Marie Anderson, Mabel Revell and Opal and Pearl Sommervold.

The bride has been working for the R.F. Roach family in Sioux City during the past three and a half years. The groom is at present stationed in New York. They have the congratulations and very best wishes of their many friends.

The couple left Monday morning on a honeymoon trip to Chicago.
