Oakland Girl Becomes Bride of A.M. Seely

One of the prettiest weddings of the season was solemnized Saturday evening when Miss Ethel Marian Orr of Oakland became the bride of Mr. Arthur M. Seely of Arroyo Grande. The ceremony was performed by Dr. John Swope at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fowler Mallett, 2955 Pine avenue, Berkeley, and was witnessed by relatives and intimate friends of the couple, the guest list numbering forty.

The bride wore a gown of white crepe de chine and carried a shower bouquet of gardenias and lilies of the valley. She was attended by her sister, Miss Anita Orr. The maid of honor wore orchid organdie and carried lavender sweet peas. Claude Miller of Oakland served as best man.

Mr. Seely is local manager of the Southern Pacific Milling company at Oceano and is a well-known business man of that locality. The bride has been city bacteriologist of Oakland for the past three years, is a graduate of the University of California and is regarded as a young woman of unusual ability and accomplishments.
The couple left for an extended motor trip through southern California and on their return will make their home in Arroyo Grande.
