OKLAHOMA CITY William E. “Poppy” Seeley, Jr. was born in Camden, New Jersey, 68 years ago. Bill was an educator and a teacher advocate for over ten years. He and his family moved to Oklahoma City in 1978. While he worked as a general manager in retail sales, he dedicated his free time for over fifteen years to coaching both girls and boys soccer teams as well as girls’ softball teams. His most beloved passion by far was being “Poppy” to his six grandsons. Bill is survived by his wife of 46 years, Virginia “Ginger” Seeley; two children, Patricia Walker and Thomas Seeley; grandchildren, Richard Murphy, Nicholas and Wesley Seeley, Ryan Collier, and Jordan and James Walker; and one great-grandson, David Murphy – all from Oklahoma; and his brother, John Seeley of New Jersey. Services will be held at Resurrection Cemetery Chapel, 7801 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at 2:30 p.m.
