SPELLMAN S. SEELEY

Spellman S. Seeley died Tuesday evening, Sept. 21, at the age of 82 years. Mr. Seeley was among the towns oldest inhabitants, and was son of Samuel and Charlotte Seeley, who were pioneers of the town, settling upon what is well known as the Seeley Clearing.

Mr. Seeley enlisted from Massachusetts in the Civil War with Company B. In 1858 he was married to Maria Adams, and to them were born two daughters, Alice, who died in infancy, and Mrs. Alma Notemyer whom he had lived since the death of his wife in 1881 .

The funeral service was held from the home Friday afternoon, Rev. F. B. Hyde officiating. Burial was in South Cambridge.

Besides his daughter he is survived by a brother, Alfred, who is 86 years of age, and lives in Centralia, Ill.
