m. 12 Feb 1784, Pound Ridge, NY, Sarah Scofield (b 1762; d 5 Jul 1852).  Daughter of Josiah and Mary Smith Scofield of Pound Ridge, NY.  Living with daughter Sarah Seely Thompson in 1850, Ithaca, NY.

They resided Bedford, Saratoga Springs, and Havana, NY.

Thaddeus served in Revolutionary War.

From Seelye’s in Service to America, Colonies, and States:*

Enlisted as a private in Captain Marcus Moseman’s Company in Colonel Thomas’s Regiment.  He served as a fifer under his father, Captain Eli Seely for a few months prior to joining Moseman’s company.  Wounded and taken prisoner at Tarrytown by the British in 1776. He married Sarah Scofield (daughter of Josiah) in February 12, 1784 in Pound Ridge, Westchester county, New York.
