m. 2 Feb 1786, St. John’s Church, Stamford, CT, Abigail Seely (SGS #1393) (b 3 Mar 1767; d 8 Jan 1832/3).  Daughter of Obadiah Seely (SGS #413).

On April 15, 1806, Samuel and Abigail Seely bought property in Pound Ridge from Wyx Seely of Stamford and resided in Pound Ridge.

Samuel Seely served in the Revolutionary War as a Private in Wissner’s Regiment, Daly’s Company.  Corporal in Platt’s Regiment, Van Boorst’s Company.  Sargeant in Hawthorne’s Regiment, Sayer’s Company.
