Former insurance official Seeley dies
FREEPORT – Robert M. Seeley, 85, president of Economy Fire & Casualty Co. here from 1943 to 1962, died Monday evening at Sarasota, Fla.
He started with the insurance firm in 1922 and served many years on the Freeport Memorial Hospital Board and a trustee for First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine; a son, Robert, Hudson, Ohio; a daughter, Cynthia, Middleton, Wis.; and five grandchildren.
Private memorial services will be Thursday at Sarasota. Memorial funds have been established with Freeport Memorial Hospital and Freeport YMCA.
