Mary Catherine Seeley
Age 84, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Silver Cross Hospital. Living in New Lenox for the past 51 years.
She is survived by her loving family; her husband, Martin J. Jr. “Mert”; Seeley; four daughters, Nancy Seeley, Sue Seeley, Mary Beth (Rick) Schoenstedt and Cathy (Daniel) Skarzynski; six grandchildren, Lorien, Katie and Emily Schoenstedt and Daniel, Zachary and Katrina Skarzynski; one brother, Basil (Elaine) Libovicz; two sisters, Beatrice (Bernard) Mahalick and Leona (the late Peter) Merzlock; numerous nieces, nephews also survive.
Mary was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox, St. Jude C.C.W. and Trojan Catering. She was the only woman on Ad Hoc committee to build the new St. Jude Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Basil and Katherine (Nee Szepelak) Libovicz; a sister, Olga Fumagalli.
Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road New Lenox Friday, December 28, 2007 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM. Prayer service Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 9:30AM in the funeral home chapel, following to St. Jude Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM. Interment on Monday, December 31, 2007 Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home would be appreciated.
